Emptied and lined to save puncturing liner.

garden03.jpg

Filling with brick rubble and old slates from local shed roof.

garden04.jpg

Turfing. This little bird waited for worms under everything.

garden05.jpg

Alison took away all of the turves for building up bottom of her garden, also a lot of the soil.

garden06.jpg

Yours truly dismantling the rockery.

garden07.jpg

Starting to build shape and structure.

garden08.jpg

Did not use wire for construction.

Now in final position, liner and underfelt had to be taken up to concrete the eight legs.

garden22a.jpg

Top corner ready for gravel, all bags had to be washed and seived as they are covered in white milky silt.

garden22b.jpg

Section of stream.

garden23.jpg

Another deep water pond along side of stream. The old curtain - cheaper than hessian - dipped in wet cement made with red sand takes on contours of sides of stream, roughed up looks natural.

garden23a.jpg

This pair of curtains cost £1 in charity shop and with careful cutting has done the whole 50 feet of stream.

garden23b.jpg

Cement channel to support top edge.

garden24.jpg

Moving on towards next bridge.

garden25.jpg
